Review Our School
As my heart rate continues to drop after the speed test, I’m almost sad to leave. My experience here has been great, from a fun energetic instructor to helpful classmates. I learned drinks and such, but more importantly how to retain the information probably forever (let’s hope). As much as I was told this class would not help me, compared to training from scratch on the job, I can’t imagine how I could make ONE tip at my current job (www.applebees.com) without this kind of intense training. Thanx MWI!

"My weeks at MWI gave me the chance to mix toxic water and food colorings together, garnished with the finest of reusable plastic fruit while learning that word associations are the key to success . . . of course nothing prepared me for the industry the way Hutch organized the dramatic role playing skits at the bar . . . then again if some guy orders a wine cooler at the bar you should be ready to break up a fight . . . during my weeks there, well one in particular, Jodie taught us that true love is when you hamster-sit for the significant other, but are forced to pound 151 to calm your nerves, afraid you’ll kill the hamster while it’s in you care. Never-the-less, nothing is more welcoming then the warming smile Karen gives you when you enter MWI . . . Just wait till you graduate and she sends you on a wild goose chase through Chestnut Hill for a bar that is actually in Mt. Airy. On the final day, during the test of all tests, when it’s time to show off what you learned – you never thought you would find yourself pushing water so hard, saying, “Yes you DO WANT the waterback with that Dammit!” And if you take the day classes, and don’t sign up for T.I.P.S. . . You’ll always see pictures of his talent, hear stories of “the legend” . . . the heroics of a firefighter, but most people who take the day classes on city line graduate still asking, “Just who the hell is this Louis Bermudez Guy???!!!
"The instructors at the Mixology Wine Institute gave me the confidence and know-how to succeed in the bartending world. The MWI job placement team was so helpful assisting me in getting a job at TGI Friday’s (www.fridays.com) shortly after graduation. Because I'm an IBI graduate, I know there is always a professional team ready to assist me in the bartending industry."

“I feel that the Professional Bartending School provided thorough and excellent training. Upon graduating the course I felt prepared, both on a technical and professional level. The instructors were excellent! The school goes above and beyond by not only giving training and certification but in helping to pave the road to placement; they aided me in preparing for and finding professional interviews. I now have landed a great opportunity with the Villanova Conference Center (www.villanovaconfctr.com) in the area it all took a very short amount of time with all the help I received.”

“MWI is the best bartending school around. It was a blast, and an easy way to learn how a bar operates. Between the experienced teachers and the lifetime job placement program it couldn’t get any easier. I had a bartending job at Red Lobster (www.redlobster.com) within 2 months after I attended MWI. Now I’m making some good money while I attend my college classes. Thanks for the great experience.”

“I highly recommend taking the Flips class. Flips was some of the coolest stuff I’ve ever learned! As a full time grad student, I needed somewhere that would be really flexible with my schedule. A lot of my other friends have jobs they hate and I feel guilty sometimes because I really love my job at Lonestar Steakhouse (www.lonestarsteakhouse.com). I am definitely glad I decided to go to MWI, it changed my life for the better.“

“Going to the Bartending Institute was one of the best choices I made. I now work at Kahunaville (www.kahunaville.com) in Wilmington DE, for all that don’t know this is a high paced restaurant/night club that draws a ton of business. The instructors at the Bartending School really prepared me for the atmosphere that I now work in. I had a great time and I learned so much on how to be a professional bartender, thanks!!!”
