Flair Bartending Instruction
The Mixology Wine Institute of Philadelphia and New Jersey offers a flair program for students and the public. Flair bartending has been very popular since the movie “Cocktail” with Tom Cruise came out in the early eighties.
The “Coyote Ugly” movie and the many flair competitions held around the world and on T.V., have sparked a huge interest in the “Art of Flair”. Flipping bottle, juggling, bar tricks, and much more bring lots of excitement to bartending and increases tips that a bartender receives.

Flair Class Schedule
The Mixology Wine Institute of Philadelphia is part of the Professional Bartending Schools of America affiliation which is the nation’s largest group of state-licensed bartending schools. PBSA graduates have competed and succeeded in flair competitions nationwide. Several of our graduates have ranked in the Top 20 in the world for years.
The President of Professional Bartending Schools of America, Roger Oldham, has competed and placed in the top 5 at the “Quest for the Best” Bartender competition held in Orlando, Florida and has won the “Best Bartender in Ohio Championship” multiple times. Roger, along with past graduates Rob Turek (Cleveland), Derek Jones (Cincinnati) and many other PBSA graduates have brought PBSA into the spot light of the flair community.
The Mixology Wine Institute is ready to put Philadelphia on the map in the flair community. Luis Bermudex is our Philadelphia flair instructor. Luis has won the "Best Bartender in Philadelphia" contest and is picuted above in the black pouring 5 cosmopolitans simultaneously. Luis is a master when it comes to flair and instructing students in the “Art of Flair”
